Each year, we hold our Agent Roundtable event in Kansas City to help our freight agents develop both personally and professionally. And this year marked our eighth Roundtable event!
We were thrilled to welcome our agents from across the United States to partake in our one-of-a-kind agent mastermind. Agents from coast to coast flew in for a weekend full of education and empowerment.
We believe the best agents deserve the best amenities and accommodations. That’s why we hosted our event at the stunning Loews Hotel in downtown Kansas City. We started the day with a gourmet breakfast while agents met and mingled before jumping into our first panel session.
As agents grow their book of business and make more money than ever before, it’s important to understand wealth management. Our friends at Mariner Wealth Advisors kicked off the day by offering financial planning tools and tips for freight brokers. During the session, agents learned:

- Blueprints for planning for the long-term, (including long-term care, unexpected emergencies and market dips)

Next, we invited our veteran freight agents to share their personal Tallgrass experiences, the best practices for achieving sustainable growth and real, tangible takeaways for bringing employees on board. And our agents in the audience were able to ask any questions they had. No topic is off the table!
Our panelists touched on everything from how to solve challenges in the freight market, push past obstacles as a business owner, when and how to build your team, streamline a freight business and how to set attainable goals. Agents left feeling empowered and motivated to implement these new growth strategies.
Something especially gratifying about the agent panel is that these pros were once in the Roundtable audience. Talk about a success ripple effect!
One of the best aspects of the Roundtable weekend is the camaraderie and community building. Our post-Roundtable company dinner is always memorable and a fantastic way to wrap up the weekend.
