We already have our performance-based incentive group, Club 200. More recently, we had some fun — and saw big results — during our March Madness Sales Contest!
Our March Madness premise was simple: the agents with the highest month-over-month growth, in addition to our overall top producers, took home a Microsoft Surface Pro 6. A big congratulations to our six winners!
The contest came on the heels of our January Super Bowl Sales Contest, during which we gave away several 65” HD smart TVs. Talk about a popular prize! As our VP of Growth and Development, Trent Flanary, says, “people can never have too many TVs!’
Speaking of Trent, he’s the brains behind these sales contests, which we’ll hold throughout the year on a regular basis. His strategic approach includes working with each of our freight agents to set professional goals, including sales metrics. Fun company-wide events like these contests are an effective way to add a little extra motivation to the picture. Of course, cool prizes don’t hurt!
The contests are designed as a tool to motivate, but it’s equally important to the Tallgrass Freight leadership that freight agents are recognized and rewarded, too. It’s so powerful to let someone know what a great job they’re doing, but it’s something that’s too-often overlooked at larger logistics companies.
