Our 2020 trip took place January 23 – 26, and it was our best trip yet!
The yearly Club 200 trip marks the sales accomplishments of the successful team members who made it all happen. We fly the top TGF sales performers and employees, as well as their plus-one, out to Las Vegas, Nevada, for a weekend of fun.
Each independent agent here at Tallgrass Freight manages their own books of business. But no agent is truly flying solo: at Tallgrass Freight, agents find community and a supportive, encouraging environment. Agents enjoy all the perks of being their own boss, plus the joys of being part of a team. It’s an environment where driven freight agents thrive and succeed! And our annual Club 200 trip to Las Vegas is one way we reward that hard work.
Performance-based incentives are nothing new to those in the sales world. But the structure of Club 200 mirrors the entrepreneurial, innovative approach we take to delivering world-class freight transportation. Instead of rewarding top-line revenue, Club 200 recognizes gross profits on the revenue our agents generate. An agent who is part of Club 200 has generated more than $200,000 in gross profits during the calendar year. To reach that milestone, agents typically pull in top-line revenue of more than $1 million. Freight agents generating this level of gross profits are part of a truly elite group: a group of professionals we’re excited to reward and celebrate.
Why Las Vegas for the Club 200 trip? There’s literally something for everyone. Beyond the remarkable casino scene and all the sights of the Strip, Las Vegas boasts fine dining, live music and world-class shows, relaxing spas, shopping and much more. Numerous national parks and nature attractions are nearby too.
And, let’s be honest, the agents from our Kansas City office were more than ready to trade the ice and snow for some sunshine!
The highlight of the trip was our company dinner at the Stratosphere on the 108th floor as a team. Over a world-class menu and drinks, it’s a chance to enjoy an exceptional meal together and toast to big achievements. The award-winning restaurant boasts 360-degree views from 800 feet above Vegas — which makes it an ideal setting to celebrate.
The majority of the weekend is unscheduled by design. This allows time for our top freight agents and employees space to enjoy well-deserved rest — and to relax in a fun city.

In addition to the Club 200 sales celebration, we host a summer family picnic and our epic Christmas party, which nearly all of our agents attend. And in the spirit of friendly competition, agents have opportunities to participate in multiple sales contests throughout the year too. Recently, our agents won 65” flat screen TVs, Microsoft Surface Pro laptops, Traeger Grills, gift cards and cash prizes. And we love the everyday celebrations too, especially our monthly State of the Union gatherings and team lunches.
