So this year, we took our top-performing agents to the Dreams Onyx Resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, for our annual Club 250 trip. And it was every bit as epic as the people we were there to celebrate.

“When you have the best agents in the country, you need to reward their exceptional performance,” says President Sean Richardson. “Our Club 250 agents not only hit their targets, they far exceeded them. The Dominican Republic was our way of commemorating to their incredible achievements.”

Club 250 is one of the ways we recognize the agents who are truly raising the bar at Tallgrass. To qualify, agents must generate $250,000 or more in margin in a single year. Hitting that mark takes consistency, strong customer relationships and the kind of work ethic that keeps freight moving at all hours of the day. This year, agents along with their guests, made the trip to Punta Cana, giving them a chance to recharge in a pretty incredible setting and spend time with other agents who know exactly what it takes to get there.

A Luxury Getaway in Punta Cana

Between the sandy beaches and warm Dominican sunshine, the Dreams Onyx Resort turned out to be the perfect spot to kick back after a year of big wins. Days were spent by the pool, on the beach, out on boats on the ocean and even on the golf course. Not a bad way to celebrate, if you ask us.

But just as important as the location was the chance to actually spend time together. Our agents run their businesses from all over the country, so getting this time face-to-face is something everyone looks forward to. Whether people were lounging by the pool or grabbing lunch together, conversations naturally drifted from freight markets and agency growth to family life and everything in between. By the end of the trip, the atmosphere felt exactly like what Club 250 is meant to be.

Celebrating the Best of Tallgrass

One of the biggest moments of the trip came on Friday night, when everyone gathered on the beach for our annual awards banquet. With the sun setting over Punta Cana, the evening quickly turned into a celebration of the people who helped make the past year such a success. The evening was filled with stories from the year, plenty of laughter and the kind of applause that only comes from a group of people who genuinely love seeing each other win.

Throughout the night, we recognized several standout achievements, handing out awards to Ryan Gregor for Employee of the Year, Prime1 Logistics for Rookie of the Year, Bethel Freight for Agent of the Year and The Connection Shop for Vendor of the Year. Every name that was called represented the months of hard work and the persistence that it takes to grow a thriving freight business.

It’s in moments like these that you can really feel what makes Tallgrass so special. When one of us succeeds, we all show up to celebrate right alongside them.
