It’s important to us at Tallgrass Freight Company to create a company culture that not only cultivates success for each of our freight agents, but also encourages them to give back so that we can collectively help our community.
This year, they stepped up in a big way. We asked our employees and freight agents to make a contribution to SAFEHOME, a Kansas-based organization that offers support for survivors of domestic violence. In return, we pledged to match $2 for every dollar raised.
We also continued a favorite company tradition of sponsoring a family through the Salvation Army. Our Chief Operating Officer, David Barnes, had a blast playing Santa and picking out gifts to help this deserving family have a wonderful holiday.
The act of giving back typically receives a lot of attention during the holiday season, but it’s an important commitment to make year-round. That’s one of the reasons we’re excited to kick off 2019 by participating in the fourth annual Lemon Mixer, a benefit for Alex Gordon’s Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. We can’t wait to represent Tallgrass Freight by hosting a table and helping raise money to fight childhood cancer.
Thanks to all of our freight agents and employees for being so generous with your time and money this last year. We’re looking forward to doing what we can to help our community in 2019 and beyond.
