Growing up in a farming family, Bob Brown spent his early years raising livestock and learning the value of hard work. At just 13 years old, he began his first job assembling bicycles for Walmart, where his determination eventually led him to a management position. Bob’s career path has taken him through retail management, construction, ministry and helping grow several freight logistics companies.
No matter where he is in his career journey, one thing has always stood out: Bob’s passion for serving others. “My passion is people,” Bob explains. “The most impactful and rewarding part of my job is engaging with others.”
That people-first attitude is what makes Bob so effective in helping others grow personally and professionally. Today, Bob spends his days as Vice President of Growth and Development at Tallgrass Freight Co. with two main goals: supporting the recruiting team and empowering current agents with the tools they need to succeed.

Like so many at Tallgrass, Bob is drawn to the very heart of the company. “It’s obvious the people here care and are genuine,” he shares. “I don’t just do this job for a job’s sake. I do it to help others and set a good example.”
Outside of work, Bob enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons. Together, they love being outdoors — hiking, horseback riding and biking — and you can often find Bob coaching his sons’ sports teams. When they’re home, family game nights and movie nights are a favorite way to unwind.
